Help Us Find Our Next Trustee — Could It Be You?

Jolley Foundation is currently inviting expressions of interest from community members for service on its Board of Trustees. Over the past decade, Jolley Foundation has implemented strategic initiatives to combat the systems and social structures that perpetuate inequity in funding by embracing the principles of trust-based philanthropy. The Foundation is dedicated to these principles in both its grantmaking activities and internal management.

Following the appointment of its first full-time executive director through a community-focused selection process, Jolley Foundation is advancing to involve community representatives in funding decisions and future organizational planning. Independent trustees will join the four current family board members to support governance, strategy, capacity building, and key Foundation objectives.

Ideal candidates for the independent trustee position should demonstrate a strong commitment to equity and justice, while contributing complementary skills, experiences, and expertise. The Foundation encourages individuals with significant community engagement and lived experience to apply. Those affiliated as staff or board members of current or former Jolley Foundation grantees are also eligible.

Additional details regarding Board responsibilities, expectations, recruitment criteria, and application timeline are provided in the linked document below. Candidates aligned with the Foundation’s vision, mission, and values are encouraged to review these materials and complete the online Interest Questionnaire by August 29, 2025, for consideration. Nominations are also welcomed. Please email me at meliah@jolleyfoundation.org to share any candidate recommendations.
